I’m not looking to become the next big Instagram model. Or the next YouTube sensation. I’m here to seek compassion to help change the world that we currently live in. The way I see it, is that we all are living in a spiritual warfare. This world has been influenced by hatred and the idea of becoming “famous”. What is your understanding of that word? To many, the definition would be the more likes the better. But what about those individuals that have no liking to that? What about those who want to make a name for themselves? And I’m not talking about the Instagram models or the YouTube sensations. I’m talking about the leaders that want to advocate change in the world. To me becoming famous means that you are creating a positive name for yourself. And as an individual, I plan to channel my “famous” in a more positive way for people.
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world”(Harriet Tubman). As a child I have always had the mindset to reach beyond the stars and moon. I define myself as an advocate for my community. I have the tendency to think beyond and not just in the box. Beyond high school, I plan to go to college to major in health sciences and minor in pre-vet and business. I have always had an itch for the medical field. The medical field allows an individual to explore the beauty of the human body. It also enables the mind to explore different possibilities. And I believe that my career within the medical field will allow for me to help and give back to my community.
As an individual, I want to become that safe haven to people that may be lost within the clouds. As we all know, after a rain shower people like to admire the view of a beautiful rainbow. As an advocate for society, I want to become that rainbow that brings people hope and prosperity. I want to be able to give individuals a glimpse of the possibilities that we all possess within us. That’s the type of name I am looking to create for myself.
My intentions in life is to not just be stuck in one ordinary place. I like to set the bar high. “If you’re always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be” (Maya Angelou). I believe that to become a better person you must give back. When I learn, I want to be able to teach others. And when I receive blessings, I want to be able to give them back. We live in a divided world. One side filled with evil and hatred and one consumed with love and happiness. I would like to be an advocate for both sides but in life not everything you wish for will be granted. Which is why I strive to achieve the best that I can give to the world. In life you will be tested on your journey. But it’s about what you make of it while your on it. Whether you give up or continue is based on how hungry you are for success. Which is why I plan to eat until my stomach is full. I was once told that success was the best revenge. I will create a successful and positive name for myself as well as to others. I recognize myself as a divergent who’s mind cannot be controlled. I will make sure people remember that rainbow that captative them and filled their minds with both positivity and possibly. So now that you read my version of “famous” does your mind still go to that Instagram model or that YouTube sensation?
